Reading Mark - how did you get on?

Hi gang! Hope you're having a great holiday.
How have you got on with the latest airborne challenge of reading Mark's Gospel?
What's jumped out at you? Which bits did you like best? Did you find it easy to understand or hard? Does Jesus sound like someone you'd be mates with? Or did you maybe find him a bit scary? Did any bits make you smile? Reassure you? Completely puzzle you?
Let us know whatever you thought. There's no right or wrong thing to say and there's a bar of choccie in it for each Runwayer who leaves a comment, so get typing! :o)

Your Airborne Christmas challenge is to read one chapter a night of Mark's gospel. It's easier than it sounds - there's only 16 short chapters, and if you can read one chapter each night before you go to bed, you'll be done by Christmas day.
God often chooses to speak to us through the Bible, so approach it with an open mind - God might have something he wants you to know! Feel free to scribble - underline bits that jump out at you, put question marks next to wierd bits, hearts next to bits you like... you get the idea.

St Johns and St Marks Churches in Shavington are putting on a Christmas concert called A Celebration of Christmas.
It's on December 15th from 7.15pm to 8.45pm with drinks and mince pies afterwards.
It'll be a fun mixture of carols, festive songs, muscial performances and an "Angel X Factor" sketch starring Runway's very own Simon Cowell (Andy)
Bring along your family!

...at least when you're not using them. We were looking at climate change tonight and thinking of ways of cutting our Carbon dioxide emissions. You can find out more here.
A normal light bulb wastes 96% of the electricity you give to it; why not consider replacing any normal bulbs you have with energy efficient ones? Morrisons have them on special offer at the moment, £1.99 for two.

Thanks Kat for this picture - a prediction of how rising sea levels might affect the UK. Try and prevent this from happening please!
